Environmental Editor (Concept)
Overview
Environmental Editor is a tile-based sandbox game focused on creating cities that are self-sustaining and have a positive/neutral effect on the environment. The purpose is to show players what they can do to help keep the biosphere stable, while also showing them the struggles city planners encounter.

Core Mechanics

Power, food, and population requirements

Pollution meter - shows the cities' current effect on the environment

Investment - an option that allows players to invest in different technologies that change specific things

Traffic - shows the effect that cars have on the environment. Goes with investing, by allowing the player to invest in different types of cars (gas, natural gas, electricity)

Laws - a simple system that lets the player choose to restrict certain things from entering the city such as gas cars, coal power, etc. It is meant to help the player be specific about where and what they get there resources from
